My nine year old daughter had me download a game on my phone called Words With Friends. Pretty decent game. It's basically Scrabble.

You two-faced son of a Jackel
I have been such a slacker lately with this blog. Sorry. I've had a lot going on lately. Today hasn't been any different either. But I do have something that I would like to discuss with you all.
I'm pretty sure that most of you will agree with me on this, but if you don't please feel free to tell me so. See, the thing is, I have a friend (whom shall remain nameless) but this friend of mine is two-faced. It drives me insane. If you are going to talk shit about someone, then don't do it behind their back and then act like you're their friend to their face. That's bullshit. I hate it and I can't stand people that are like that. There's no reason for it. If you have a problem with someone, or an issue with someone, let that person know. Don't go telling everyone else about it if you're not willing to talk to them about it. I'm pretty sure that everyone at some point in their lives has been a little two-faced though. I know I have. But at the same time, I have no problem telling the person how I feel. You can't just be part-time friends with someone. That's ridiculous and absurd. And you shouldn't be friends with someone only when it's convient for you. If that's the type of person you are, then leave me out of it. I'm too damn old for that high school drama.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say about that. I feel a bit better now. Thanks.
And sorry again for being a slacker.

Memorial Day
I hope everyone had as much fun as we did on Memorial Day! We all went over to my Moms' new place for her first official family cookout. I'm happy to report it was a success. Even with a tropical depression lingering and promising lots of rain, it was still a good day. It did rain for a little minute, but it was mostly a heavy sprinkle and we were all inside eating at that point so it didn't matter. Mom made her "famous" chicken dip and homemade mac and cheese, Clay (my step-dad) was in charge of the burgers and hot dogs, I brought the beans and Grandma Jackie made the potato salad. Mom also tried her hand a new cake recipe, it was red, white and blue, with a homemade icing. It tasted like a colorful pound cake with amazing icing! She did a great job on the cake! We also managed to squeeze in a few games of Foosball while we were there. I suck. I did start to get a bit better, but my reaction time just wasn't up to par.
It was still fun though. The kids were able to get in on the action. Paige didn't want to stop playing! She loved it. Our friends, Jessica and Mike, were able to join us for the day. Jessica was able to go for a ride on Clays' motorcycle (with him) for the first time. She was so excited and scared at the same time! It was funny! She did good. Later, we all went back to our house and Jessica asked to see some of my scrap booking supplies because she's thinking about getting into the hobby. Well, she asked for it. I pulled out all three of my totes from the closet that are slap full of stuff. Stickers, paper, cut-outs, stamps, stencils, punch out designs, fancy scissors, all sorts of crap, and yes, everything is labeled. She actually told me that she knew I had an "addiction" but she had NO IDEA it was "that bad" and I busted out laughing!! I told her that I'm planning on going through all of it to get rid of some if it because I really do have a tad too much, and I told her that what I don't want I will just give to her to help her out since she wants to start doing it. She gladly accepted the offer.
Me and my Bestie (sorry the pic is a little blurry, I guess my Mom couldn't hold still!)
So all in all, it was a great way to spend our Memorial Day. I hope yours was great, too!

Hippity, Hoppity, Hop!!!!
I'm so glad that I joined a Blog Hop last night and another one this morning! My page views and my list of followers have both increased! It's so exciting! It's been great meeting new people who share my interests. If you haven't joined a Blog Hop, I highly recommend it! The first one I joined was TGIF Blog Hop and this morning I joined Aloha Friday Blog Hop both have worked great for me! I did have to sign up on multiple sites, but so far it's been worth it, even though I sort of feel like a blog whore. Since I'm still new to this whole "blogging" gig, I can use all the help I can get. So when I saw the posts about the Blog Hop, I thought it might be helpful and beneficial to me at the same time. I was right!
So with that said, go join the Blog Hops, one or the other, or both. Just do it. I promise you won't regret it! Also, if you make the WISE choice to follow my blog page, I will follow you back, just leave me a comment so I know to do just that.
I hope you are all having a great day! I'm off to see if I can find any more Blog Hops to join!

Girlfriend, Girlfriend!
Are you my friend? Am I your friend? What does being someones friend mean? Being someones friend is a big deal because that means they trust you enough to really let you in so that you can see who they truely are. I believe everyone has atleast one best friend. That one person that you can truely be yourself around and not feel like your every move is being studied or judged. Some people are lucky enough to have multiple best friends. My best friend Jessica and I have been friends for 20 years. That's a long freaking time! I couldn't imagine her not being a part of my life though. But what happens when your best friend starts letting you down? That's the ugly part of friendship that no one wants to talk about. I lost one of my best friends because of a choice that I made, and I kinda sorta ended another friendship recently with someone who had been my friend for over 20 years, but that wasn't because of something I did, it was something she did. Without getting into the details, my point is that sometimes things happen and you loose your friend, or your best friend. What then? Does life go on? Duh! Of course it does! But what happens when you don't loose your friend they just keep letting you down over and over and you aren't sure what you should do? Well, in my opinion, if your best friend is constantly letting you down, hurting your feelings, or whatever it may be, I think it is best to talk about it with this friend. I mean, you are friends right? So this should be like one of the most simpliest things to do. "You know, Jane, it really hurts me that everytime we make plans to get together and do something, you cancel on me at the last minute with some bullshit excuse." See? That wasn't so hard, was it? But what if you don't want to have this little "talk" with your bestie? You would prefer to sit there with your mouth shut and act like everything is all peachy keen when really you are hurting on the inside. Whatever. To each his (or her) own, I always say. You think it's ok to sit quietly because you don't want this friend to start hanging out with you again out of pity, which is a possibility I suppose. So it's kind of a tough call I guess. But I think that if you are truely friends with someone that you should be able to talk to them about everything, good or bad. Some friendships are worth "fighting" for.
(And for the record, I don't have a friend by the name of Jane, incase you were wondering. And no, Jessica hasn't pissed me off, lol)
