So my eldest daughter took the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) for the first time a few weeks back. She was so nervous about the test because the school administration puts so much pressure on these kids to do well so the school can have an "A" grade. She was scared to death that she was going to fail the FCAT test and be held back in third grade next year. Thankfully, I was right and she had nothing to worry about! She passed!! She got a 3 on the Reading part of the test and a 4 on the Math part. Any score above a 1 passes and 5 is the highest you can get. So she did well. We are very proud of her! We're going to have to do something this weekend to celebrate! My baby girl is so smart, she's going to be President one day, so watch out! Mama loves you hunny!

Must be doing something right!
I'm so happy to inform you that one of the seven pots I planted sunflower seeds in has sprouted!
First signs of life!
I'm so excited! I can't wait for the others to sprout! I really thought it was going to be like another week or so before we could see any action, but I am glad that we don't have to wait much longer!
As, I have said before, Take that Black thumb!!

Who Knew?
I'm so proud of my new found green thumb! I love being out in the garden, regardless of the heat. The flowers are doing great! One of the sunflowers in about it have its first bloom, which makes us all very excited! This morning I was out there cleaning it up some and putting some more garden soil down when I noticed that some of the other flowers will be blooming soon too! The sunflower seeds haven't sprouted yet, should be another week I think. I should have marked the calendar when I planted them, but I didn't. I would really like to dress up the garden some more though. Add in a few decorations or something. I have three butterflies stakes and a fence around it. It needs more.
It's funny how something that didn't interest you at all in your younger days peaks your interest now that you're pushing thirty. I've never been one to spend time in a garden, much less get something to actually grow. I'm the mom who actually enjoys being in the kitchen. But I really enjoy being outside in the garden. I'm sure most of that has to do with the fact that everything has been surviving. But I'll take it. And who knows, maybe one day our little flower garden will look as beautiful as the gardens in the ritzy neighborhoods where they hire someone to do it for them.
Rockin' the Arts
Last night, we had to attend a "Rockin' the Arts" performance at Paiges' school. I felt like such as ass though because I completely and undeniably forgot about the whole freakin' thing! I thought it was next week! Oh well. We made it there! She did a great job! As did everyone else! Artwork covered every inch of the walls in the cafeteria, and the music part of the show opened with some 5th graders playing a few songs on the violin. Man, I was impressed! They were so good! That's such a hard instrument to play (from what I hear anyway.) Paige had a few different parts in the show last night. At one point she was playing the xylophone and singing and then she was dancing on stage with the "Jive" dancers! She was so cute!

Time flies when you're having fun
So, it just dawned on me last night that my baby boys birthday is 3 weeks away from today! Oh my goodness! Where has the time gone? I can't believe my BABY BOY is about to be THREE years old! Time flies when you're having fun! Seems like only yesterday he split me in two and said "Hello World!"
Here he is only a few days old. His shirt reads "I have my Mommas looks and my Daddy's gas"
I remember being so nervous about having a son. I wasn't sure I would know what to do because I only had girls up until then. Everything was sorta different, but in a good way. It was definitely a learning experience for me. Having a son is the absolute best part of me. My girls are too, of course, but with my son it's just different. He is my baby boy. Always will be. He is growing so fast though.
Last week at Steak-n-Shake.
My silly boy. I love him so much!
I guess it's time to start planning a birthday party for my little man. I wonder what theme he will want. Cars? Umizoomi? Woody? The possibilities are endless! I love party planning!

My evil spawn
In typical Monday fashion, my evil spawns are out in full force today! More irritating than ever today. I guess the girls knew I was talking about them because Brooke just yelled that Paige got her wet. Are you serious? This child is sitting in a pool (of water) and complaining that her big sister just got her wet. Un-freakin-believable. The nerve of some people, I mean really. How dare Paige get her wet. It has been like this all day long for me. First is was just me and my cranky Bubba-man, but now that the girls are home from school- it's seriously like a World War. Someone is screaming and yelling about something and the other ones are fighting, no one can agree on anything, it's just fighting, screaming and one pissed off mama non-stop.
Oh, wait. What was that sound? Was that just laughter? Oh. My. God. It was. Wow, that's impressive. That's the first time I've heard that sound all day. I think it was Paige who laughed, probably at Brooke. At least they are getting along. For now anyways.
And there it is. "Ahhhhhhhhhh" coming from Paige in this blood curdling scream. Fun is over.
It's times like these that make me think back to a friend of mine, who has a four year old son, she is always telling me that she doesn't know how I handle having three kids when she goes crazy with her one sometimes. I just laugh it off and say that I don't know how I do it either. I really don't. There are times when I wanna smack them all for being so ignorant, or inconsiderate, or whatever it maybe. But I don't. I love them though, as irritating as they are.
Fantasies
So with the recent video of Will Smith smacking some reporter for trying to kiss him, the radio show that I listen to in the mornings was talking about who they would be willing to attempt to kiss despite the repercussions. Well, that got me thinking. Who would I try to kiss on the red carpet?
Easy.
Jason Statham (Oh, the things I would do to him!)
Adam Levine (Tie me up or tie me down!)
Johnny Depp (Oh. My. God.)
Steven Tyler (shut your face- I love him!)
My list could seriously go on for awhile. But I will stop there. Let the fantasies begin! Here's the video in case you missed it: Will Smith Video It is very entertaining. And seriously? I don't blame that dude at all! How could you not try to kiss him? You should be smacked for that.
I also feel the need to add that I know, as well as you know, that this post is meant to be pure fun. Although, given the chance to meet my guys listed above might result in me getting arrested, it would totally be worth it.
And just in case the hubs is reading this, I love you baby and they mean nothing to me! Haha!

Bad Doggy!
My stupid dog, Bowzer, tried to eat a baby turtle this morning. Poor little guy (or girl), I didn't even realize the turtle living in our yard was pregnant, not that I could have known, but dang I would have tried to protect the babies or something. I feel so bad. Baby turtle didn't stand a chance. I'm curious as to how many other baby turtles are wondering helplessly around my yard. Hopefully I find them before Bowzer, or Krumb for that matter. Not sure what I would do, but I refuse to let him hurt any more babies. He knows he's only allowed to kill the bad animals/creatures in the yard, not the cute ones. He was so adorable. I'm so angry with Bowzer and sad for the mother turtle, wherever she is.
Sunday Morning
This weekend has been a busy one, which isn't really normal. Our weekends our usually kinda lazy. But not this time. Today will be no different either. Lots of stuff to do around the house inside and out. And I've yet to start on the scrapbook, I would like to think that I will get started on it today, but who knows for sure.
Yesterday morning, the kids and I went with Nana looking for some yard sales. We found plenty! We both got lots of great deals! Mom racked up on a bunch of brand new toys for the kids, a TV for one of the extra bedrooms at their new house, and a Foosball table! What!?!? Yes, you read that right. I on the other hand, got a little exercise trampoline for five dollars for the kids, a gardening cart (score!), a new dress (still had tags on it), shoes (of course!) and a new beach bag (duh!). I love yard sales! I actually need to have another one here! Mom is planning one at her new place, but I'm not sure when she wants to do it yet. I may just take all the crap we have in the shed here for our yard sales over to her place. Why not?
On a different note, I am loving my new phone! It's pretty much just like my old Thunderbolt. Richard thinks it's crap and wants me to put Cyanogen on it, but I refuse. Every time he changes crap on my phones it doesn't work right for me. So no. He will not be touching my phone. Oh snap! I just realized I didn't even tell you that I got a new phone! Yay. It's nothing fancy, but it works for what I want and need. It's a Samsung. I wanted an HTC but I didn't want to pay that price. I'm just glad to have Android again, that's all that really matters to me. I got the phone on Thursday, I think. Set it all up, downloaded all the apps I need/want and now I'm kinda obsessed with Instagram. Oh well.
I guess that's enough rambling for this morning. The kids seem to be starving so it's time to make them some eggs and bacon, per Brookes' request.
